Fontys Hogescholen is one of the largest Dutch applied science universities, with campuses located primarily in the South of The Netherlands, offering associate, bachelor and master courses to 44.000 students. Fontys employs 4500 staff members organized in 31 schools in various domains: technology, economics, art, education, health and others.
Fontys focuses on Bachelor education and Master degree programmes financed by the Dutch government. The education is organized well and provided in professional education environments. Fontys strives to achieve high quality, embedding its activities solidly within society, whilst achieving a leading position as a knowledge institution, both nationally and in its regional environments.
Fontys’ research and educational programmes are focused at six social knowledge themes: Enabling Technologies with regard to High Tech (systems) & Artificial Intelligence, Smart mobility, Healthy & Inclusive society, Creative industry, Future (of) learning and Sustainablility & Circularity. By means of interdisciplinary collaboration they develop innovative and sustainable solutions for societal problems and development goals.
