1. PARIS MEETING – Last week in the historical University and dynamic research institution of “Le Cnam”, the “Conservatoire national des arts et métiers” of Paris, our seventh partners meeting took place. The team could finally meet in person after several months since the previous “mini pilot” in Eindhoven, this was our first meeting of 2022: we took flights and trains from all over the EU to reach our host and colleague Professor Berthinier-Poncet in the “ville lumiere”, a world renowned capital for arts and innovation, the beloved Paris and to meet again with our Italian partner after a difficult “fourth wave” experience in his country.

The meeting had multiple goals from discussion of the “Spring School” organization in April at “Le Cnam” in Paris and conducting a new “Train the Trainers” workshop to reviewing current states of the project work packages and planning the upcoming year. The event represented an amazing opportunity to work together onsite again, making some adjustments and improvements to its teaching and research directives and guidelines.

2. WORKSHOP – During the “Train the Trainers” workshop in Paris we also got the chance to work on student competence planning and educational module development. The new voices on the table added new ideas and suggestions to the conversation and contributed to the debate and the construction of a better “ArtIst Project”. Our guest researchers from our Lithuanian and Dutch partners actively participated in the discussion together with the core team of the project. Brigita Janiunaite presented her experience of development of future competencies from European projects, Rūta Valusyte shared her knowledge in designing development and social research, Paola van der Sluis contributed with her expertise in Educational Sciences. Even more after this meeting, we can affirm how our creative strength is based on cultural, linguistic and historical differences, and how our “ArtIst Team” is stronger and more united in diversity.

3. ACTIVITIES – During the three days meeting we had the opportunity to visit the city center of Paris, a global city full of opportunities and that contributes to the world of art and innovation with renewed energies and inspiring spirit.

Professor Anne Bethinier-Poncet, our host, brought us to La Gaité Lyrique”, a digital arts and modern music center where we could admire a new immersive exhibition made of brilliant and psychedelic lights but also the “Palais de Tokyo” and the fascinating exhibition “Ubuntu un rêve lucide“. We also got the chance to visit the “Le Cnam museum”, which provides visitors with a collection of unique French technologies and pieces of art that are extremely useful to better understand European tech evolution in the past few centuries. Each day was a discovery and we could not have asked for more.

NEXT STEPS – We are now heading to the next “Spring School” to take place in Paris next April. If you want to know more about our activities and our project please visit our website at this link – https://www.artistandinnovation.eu/
